A further two countries will join the 17th EMC.Spain will return to the EMC with the artist Virginia Labuat. Her entry will be the song 'Circus'. Spain are yet to win an edition of the EMC, however they did host the very first contest in Madrid. Can Virginia change Spain streak of bad luck in the contest?
Colombia will debut in this edition, being the first South American nation to take part in the contest. Adriana Lucia will fly the Colombian flag in EMC 17, with her song 'Quiero que te quedes'.
