Jeju Island to host EMC 17!

The polls have close and the results have been counted and it will be Jeju Island in South Korea, who will host the 17th Eurosong Music Contest! Narrowly beating Stockholm, South Korea will now host their second EMC, after hosting the 9th edition in Seoul.

The South Korean delegation have already announced the details of the contest. The venue will be the Jeju World Cup Stadium, with a capacity of just uner 36,000. The hosts of the show will be Kang Ho Dong, Kim Shin Young and the winners of the 8th EMC, girlgroup, Kara.

The EMC would like to congratulate Jeju Island for winning the right to host the returning edition of the EMC, and we will see you all in South Korea!

Italy, Luxembourg & Serbia are back!

Luxembourg EMC 17
Italy, one of the longest serving EMC nations, is back. Dolcenera will represent her country with her song 'Ci Vediamo a casa'. Will she get Italy its second victory in the EMC?

Luxembourg will return to the EMC with the French charity single 'Des Ricochets' by Collectif Paris-Africa Pour L'Unicef. Luxembourg have come in the top 5 a few times, but are yet to get to the number one spot! Will this charity song achieve this?
Dolcenera - Italy EMC17

Milica - Serbia EMC 17
Serbia will return after a gap of a few editions, with Milica Majstorović and her song Savršen Par. Serbia has been rather unlucky in the EMC, but will Milica get Serbia its first top 5 placing?

Spain returns and Colombia debuts!

A further two countries will join the 17th EMC.

Spain will return to the EMC with the artist Virginia Labuat. Her entry will be the song 'Circus'. Spain are yet to win an edition of the EMC, however they did host the very first contest in Madrid. Can Virginia change Spain streak of bad luck in the contest?

Colombia will debut in this edition, being the first South American nation to take part in the contest. Adriana Lucia will fly the Colombian flag in EMC 17, with her song 'Quiero que te quedes'.

Good luck to Spain and Colombia!
