The Jury system WILL now play a role.

Hello everyone,

Thanks to those of you who voted in the poll regarding the juries in the final.

The outcome of the poll was that more of you feel that they should play a role.

I would like to take this opportunity to now explain properly how the juries will work.

Semi-Finals - In both semi-finals the top eight ranking countries will progress to the grand final. The juries will then pick their favourite entry from each semi-final, from the remaining participants who failed to qualify, making a total of nine qualifiers from each semi-final.

Final - In the final, the four juries will have their own points to award (1-8, 10, 12), as well as each participant giving their own votes. This will enable outside opinions to be given in the EMC, as well as four non-biased views. Hopefully this will give less successful countries a chance in the EMC, and hopefully make the results a little less predictable.
